Provider information (legal notice)
Provider of Stundee and controller for the provider's processing described here:

This notice covers Stundee, this support website and Stundee support. Apple, your selected communication services and the other providers listed below also have privacy notices covering their own services.
Student data, lesson notes and iCloud
Stundee manages names, phone numbers, email addresses, group memberships, lesson weekdays and times, colours and the lesson notes you write. This information comes from your entries, selected contacts or imported backups.
Data is stored on your devices. When iCloud sync is available, student and timetable data, notes and related settings sync through Apple services. The app uses a private CloudKit database and iCloud key-value storage. “Private” means the data belongs to your Apple Account rather than a public student directory. No additional Stundee account is required.
Stundee does not operate its own server for storing or analysing your student data. The app contains no advertising or third-party advertising or tracking services and makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. This does not mean that no data leaves your device: iCloud in particular uses Apple services.
When you enter information about students or their families, you determine its purpose, content and recipients. As a teacher or institution, you must ensure that you are entitled to process this information, inform the people concerned appropriately and keep data no longer than necessary. The app does not replace that assessment. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.
Address book and communication
When you select a contact in Apple's system picker, Stundee copies the name, phone numbers and email addresses into the student record. Creating a new contact uses Apple's contact editor. Alternatively, you can enter a name manually. Imported information becomes part of the app data and may sync through iCloud.
Communication buttons open phone, message or mail functions with the selected contact details. Stundee does not send messages automatically through its own messaging service. You review and confirm the action. Emails to multiple recipients are prepared using Bcc. Group messages may reveal phone numbers to other participants; check the recipients and sending method in the message composer.
Further processing is carried out by your selected email application, Apple, your email or mobile provider and the recipients. Revoking contacts permission does not automatically remove details previously imported into Stundee; you must change or delete them separately in the app.
Calendar events and Apple Watch
For student absences, Stundee requests calendar access and prepares an editable event containing the student or group name, lesson date and start and end times. It is saved to the selected calendar after your confirmation. If that calendar is synced or shared, those settings and recipients also apply to the new event. This feature is not used to transfer your other calendar contents to the Stundee provider.
The paired iPhone transfers lesson titles, weekdays, start and end times and colours to the Watch app. This information is cached there for lesson displays, the countdown and the complication. Phone numbers, email addresses and lesson notes are not included in this Watch timetable package. Names and times may be visible on the Watch display.
Pro and in-app purchases
The optional one-time Pro purchase is offered, paid for and restored using Apple's StoreKit. The app evaluates Apple-verified transaction information, particularly the product identifier and any revocation, to check entitlement. Proof of a Pro purchase is not written to student data or backup files.
Stundee does not ask for card, bank or Apple login details and does not operate its own payment server. The student limit is checked using the records available on the device, not an analytics service. See App Store and Privacy for more information.
Storage, backups and deletion
Your entries remain stored until changed or deleted in the app. Changes and deletions may also sync. Deleting a lesson in the timetable is different from deleting a student: removing a lesson does not automatically remove the student record.
The weekly PDF contains names and lesson times. Data backups may also contain contact details and lesson notes. When exporting or sharing, you choose the storage location and recipients. You must manage exported files and your own backups at their respective locations.
iCloud is not an independent backup. Uninstalling the app does not automatically remove all cloud data or exports. Apple's settings and deletion procedures also apply to technical cloud copies and backups; immediate removal of every copy is not guaranteed. Local diagnostic messages are subject to the device's log management.
You can manage iCloud and system permissions in device settings. Locally available data generally remains usable without internet access; cross-device sync and store requests require a connection.
Email support
If you write to support@kuntz-apps.de, we receive your email address, message and any attachments to handle your request. Providing information is voluntary; without sufficient details and a reachable address, a reply may be impossible. Do not send passwords or unnecessary student data.
The mailbox is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Processing by the email provider is governed by its data processing agreement. Access through an email application may create local copies on the provider's devices. This website uses no contact form or embedded ticketing service.
Completed support requests and attachments are deleted no later than six months after closure. Where legal retention duties or legal claims require longer storage, only the data needed for that purpose is kept until the reason no longer applies. Diagnostic logs you voluntarily send may contain names and technical details; check them before sharing. Apple's own diagnostic transfers depend on your system settings.
Website and Cloudflare Pages
This website is hosted through Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, requested URL, time and browser or device information for delivery, reliability and security.
The website itself uses no cookies, advertising or analytics scripts, external fonts or local browser storage. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not embedded. Technical processing by Cloudflare still takes place. Student data from Stundee is not transferred to this website.
Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum and privacy policy describe its processing. No fixed retention period in days is promised here for technical logs; Cloudflare describes retention according to operational and security purposes and legal requirements.
Recipients and international processing
The features described use Apple for iCloud, Watch system services and the App Store, IONOS for support email and Cloudflare for this website. Additional recipients result from calls, messages, calendar sharing and exports you initiate. Processing exclusively in Germany or the EU is not guaranteed.
Apple also processes data outside the EEA, including in the USA. Information about the relevant Apple companies, international transfers and standard contractual clauses is available in the Apple privacy policy and Apple Account and Privacy.
IONOS describes EU/EEA processing and conditions for necessary transfers to third countries in its data processing agreement and subprocessor list. Cloudflare operates a worldwide network; its transfer provisions describe the Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses and Swiss adaptations, among other safeguards. Its subprocessor list identifies participating service providers and possible locations.
Legal bases and your rights
Where the GDPR applies, the provider's processing to perform the user contract and provide contract-related support relies on Article 6(1)(b). Secure website operation and general enquiries rely on legitimate interests under point (f); legal duties on point (c). Where separate consent is obtained, point (a) applies. System permissions are additional technical authorisations and do not replace the necessary legal basis for student data.
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may withdraw consent for the future. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation; processing will cease unless overriding legitimate grounds or legal claims apply.
Contact us using the details above. For data a teacher or institution holds about you, contact them first. For your Apple services, you can contact Apple directly. Stundee support does not need your Apple password or access to your account.
You may complain to a competent data protection authority, including the Lower Saxony Commissioner for Data Protection. Where the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies, its rights also apply, including access and, where applicable, rectification, deletion and data disclosure. Further information is provided by the FDPIC.
